A hygienic wall cladding solution, Bioclad has been developed specifically for use in commercial kitchens, healthcare and pharmaceutical facilities.
BioCote technology has been tested in accordance with ISO 22196 and has been proven effective against preventing the spread of viruses such as E.coli and MRSA. It has also proved effective at inactivating the influenza virus (H1N1) under laboratory conditions.
It is these specifications that awarded Rearo the supply contract to the temporary Louisa Jordan hospital development in Glasgow during the Covid period.
Measuring 3050mm x 1220mm, in a thickness of 2.5mm, Bioclad pvc cladding is class 1 fire rated as standard and entirely moisture resistant.
BioClad® has an antimicrobial additive impregnated throughout the panels at the time of manufacture. This helps inhibit the growth of bacteria and mould and works continuously for the lifetime of the panels.
Reducing healthcare associated infections (HCAI’s) the antimicrobial wall cladding eliminates maintenance costs and works as an additional protective layer between cleaning schedules.
Developed as plain RAL colour references, our clients can choose from two separate colour ranges in our Bioclad PVC wall cladding offer. These include the Bioclad Pastel Range and the Bioclad Vivid Range.
And, for time constrained projects, we carry a number of our white hygienic wall cladding sheets within our Glasgow HQ, which are ready to ship.
The BioClad® pastel range offers a range of subtle and muted colours, proven to have a calming effect on their surroundings. Ideal for healthcare, education and spa facilities, this range is impregnated throughout with the BioClad® antimicrobial additive – inhibiting bacteria growth by up to 99.9%.
The bold colours have been chosen to add vibrancy to shops, bars and restaurants for a finish that is stylish, durable, watertight and easy to clean.
Bioclad Installation
Our wall cladding sheets are fully bonded to suitable substrate with trowel applied BioClad 2-part polyurethane adhesive or BioClad® 1-part water based acrylic adhesive. Double sided tape can be used as a support tool during the point of adhesion.
Cutting & joining wall cladding
PVC cladding should be cut with a fine-toothed blade jigsaw or circular saw with a fine TCT sawblade, while supported.
Sheets can then be sealed by hot welding or joined with matching PVC single and 2-part silicone free trim systems, to form a water tight finish.
Chemical Resistance
BioClad® hygienic wall cladding is resistant to a wide range of chemicals found within the medical, healthcare and food production industries.
These include bleaching solution, acetone, salt water, starch and brewing solution.

Limitation of use
Bioclad pvc cladding should only be exposed to a maximum temperature of 60°C before damage will appear on the panel surface.
Sheets can also NOT be used near a naked flame.
